So this is my blog about amazing travel spots around the world! I haven't been outside of the United States, but I have created a list of places that i want to go to. I usually research every interesting place thoroughly so that it can help me (and now you) in the future if your planning to go on a vacation but don't know exactly where to go.
This is the first city and it's in Mexico. I hope you like it!!
Mérida:
If you're interested in the Mayan Civilizations of South America, then Mérida (located in Yucatan, Mexico) may be the place for you. The Mérida's Maya keep their culture alive with a daily lineup of traditional Yucatecan dances, open-air serenades, mock Mayan weddings and other events. This city is filled with very welcoming people who are ready to teach you about their own lifestyle. Despite this city being in Mexico, they have European designed buildings, many of which are lined up on the grand boulevard modeled after the Champs-Elysees.
If you want to explore Mayan ruins, this is a great place to go. Merida also happens to be twenty-two miles from the Gulf of Mexico (about 35 km). This city is ranked twelfth in the most populated cities in the world, so if your fed up with your work, and you want to be away from any human, I'd advise you NOT to visit this city. There are over 970,377 people inhabiting the city.
